I have changed a few things with IRC for the better.

• Recompiled IRCd

Network is now 100% JAPS, use irc.japsclan.net to connect.

• Reinstalled Services from scratch

That means all saved nick, channel, bot, module settings have been reverted back to default, so please re-register your nickname when you connect for the first time again. If you are a [JAPS] member, let DarkSider, Avenging-Angel, or myself know and we will re-add your permissions for channel op.

Thats really about it, despite it being only two things, it took me about 6 hours to complete… Just remember to re-register your nickname and let one of us know!

NOTE: I will be redoing the site from scratch here soon, this is a monstrosity and it gives me a bad name.

Well well, I decided we may need a little bit of room to grow with on IRC, so we now have 2 servers (technically 3) linked, max global users is somewhere upwards of 1500 to 2500. Feel free to make our IRC network your new home away from home, we have enough room for your entire family now. Did I mention the new server will be SSL also? Guess I forgot that part!

On another note, vHosts are working again. Just type /hostserv request in irc and someone will activate it for you.

Please take a moment & register your nicks on our irc for access. Do /msg NickServ REGISTER {password} {email} (registers your current nick) Use /msg NickServ IDENTIFY {password} (to authenticate)

On to other things while I have your attention:

Under Recruitment there is now a form you can fill out and instantly email to recruiters to look over for your application, next to that the Submit a Cheat function is properly working again, stay tuned for a site redesign in the near future!

Also in the last month we have experienced a lot of old JAPS members coming back from the dead to idle in IRC, its almost normal again. So if you we’re an old time member like a lot of us, come in and say hai to us, catching up on memories is always pretty awesome, plus who knows you may want to get back into the cheating scene with us since we will be reviving Hack vs. Hack gaming across cs 1.6 and hopefully css. You may have noticed on the right that there is a server listed, yeah thats right our first CS 1.6 server is up, and there are 2 more to come… What did you think I was kidding when I said we we’re rebuilding? Psh take me seriously, I mean it.

Lastly, we have hacks being released soon; free public hacks like the good ol’ times and eventually even cheat server private/public hacks for amazing hvh pleasure, I dont know about the rest of you fuckholes but I cant wait to get back into cheat servers to get plowed by furious and allen, those 2 are over-fucking-powered.

Sorry for the downtime on the the irc network, turns out Unreal (the ircd im running) had a backdoor trojan in it read about it HERE, I had to take care of that, and ended up having to leave mid compile last night, again sorry for that. It’s back up now and ready to go!
